“Treasure Country” expedition was dedicated to Ukraine. The three of Folknery (Yulia Sovershenna has joined) in 44 days crossed by bikes the whole country from Uzhgorod to Luhansk  by countryside (2011 km) and got more than 600 authentic songs, mostly unique and little-known. The route of the journey passed mostly apart from the big cities and highways, in return it went to the distant, “forgotten by God”, small villages, where we hoped to  find still not found folklore treasures. Some of them already has become the part of Folknery’s repertoire with a new, sometimes completely different sounding (despite grannies’ warnings: «Don’t spoil our songs!» 😉 )

The self-titled film about the travelling, following the previous one, has got the awards of all the festivals, in which it was nominated:

  • «The best film»  – «The Golden Chicken» festival (Lviv, 2012)
  • The first place in «Cognitive film» nomination – «Gran» festival (Khabarovsk, 2013)
  • Special prize «For popularization and bright approach to the folk song art» -«Hundred Roads» festival (Saint Petersburg, 2013)
